Children’s Religious Education

UUWaco children’s religious education begins at 9:30 am on Sundays. Children participate in worship, social justice work, and multigenerational gatherings reinforce what parents teach at home. We nurture truth-seeking, spirituality, and progressive moral values that will continue to shape and support our children as they grow.

UUWaco provides a nursery for babies and toddlers during worship. We also offer age-specific programs from preschool through high school. It is common for our religious education programs to combine story, song, art, movement, discussion, and play to engage children with many learning styles, abilities, and activity levels.

Adult Religious Education

UUWaco adult religious education begins at 9:30 am. We provide a safe place for adults to explore their own beliefs, to discuss those beliefs with others, and to cultivate more meaningful relationships with other members, which builds a stronger community. We also explore many different subjects from religions to social justice to current events. We decide among ourselves what we will study in adult religious education. Our goal is to offer something for everyone.
