“At the Crossroads: Where Our Passions Meet the World’s Pain”

Sunday, July 21, 2019
Writer Frederick Buechner tells us, “The place where God [love] calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger coincide.” What does that mean for Unitarian Universalists in such hungry times?

When we use our strengths and passions in the service of others, we fulfil ourselves; it’s a form of self-care. If you feel angry about something, turn that anger into service by working to improve or change what makes you angry. While doing so, ask others to join you and bring them INTO the circle of action. Working together makes the work lighter and more enjoyable. You will find that you feel better when you take action and practice self-care. Always remember: we value your existence on this earth; you’re wonderful!
