HARRY POTTER CAMP ENGAGED a wide variety of folks, including members and friends of the Fellowship of ALL AGES as well as folks from the broader community. It certainly involved the commitment of TIME and CREATIVITY. And what JOY and FUN!
CAKES FOR THE QUEEN honored the SACRED in our lives, explored earth centered sources of WISDOM and CELEBRATED IN A SACRED SPIRIT OF COMARADERIE. It also ENGAGED newcomers. And since the series ended, there has been a continued SHARING and LISTENING.
YOUR BOARD AND COMMITTEE CHAIRS are updating our POLICIES and procedures and by-laws, so that they will be CLEARLY DEFINED. We are CREATING procedures to facilitate CONFLICT RESOLUTION.
NATHAN is trying NEW IDEAS (sitting in a circle) while honoring congregational input to keep the traditional arrangement; HONORS THE SACRED in our lives (what some call prayer); is actively seeking INPUT FROM NEWCOMERS.
FACILITATORS COVENANT GROUP is developing a new model for covenant groups which will involve more people in LISTENING DEEPLY.
OUR WEBSITE is new and improved, allowing for greater COMMUNICATION.
OUR MEMBERS show their COMPASSION through Meals on Wheels, Caritas Cereal, Compassion Ministries Apartment, Waldo’s, Chalice Lighters, Guest at Your Table at the UU, and the support of Nobody’s Fool, Awakening the Dreamer Seminars, the Community Race Relations Coalition and other causes in the community.
WHAT CAN I DO? Keep the Covenant of Right Relations and Core Values in mind in all aspects of your life in the Fellowship and follow the revised policies and procedures and by-laws as they become available. Welcome and engage newcomers. Participate in a new covenant group as they become available.
